Bruce Bang has been a cornerstone of Houston’s Hip Hop and R&B community for more than 25 years. A Grammy-nominated, Billboard-charting, Emmy-nominated, Gold-certified producer, and mix engineer, Bruce has contributed to projects for artists including Usher, Paul Wall, Baby Bash, Frankie J, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Keke, Bun B, Travis Scott, Miguel, George Clinton, SPM and Day26.

   He currently serves as Lead Music Production Engineer for Team Usher on the Raymond & Brown Tour, featuring Usher and Chris Brown. Working alongside Music Directors Iz and Bobby Avila, Bruce helps shape Usher’s live musical production through recording, editing, arranging, mixing, transitions, and detailed show updates between performances.

   Bruce previously served as Head Recording Engineer for Usher’s historic Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show and contributed engineering work to the expanded edition of Usher’s Grammy-nominated album, Coming Home. He also earned a Gold plaque for his work on Megan Thee Stallion’s Traumazine, recording “Southside Royalty Freestyle.”

   Beyond his work with major artists, Bruce is building the Slow-Fi Movement, a multimedia platform centered around music, storytelling, Houston culture, and creative independence. Through his producer albums, he brings together the city’s homegrown talent, pairing respected OG legends with rising artists and new voices shaping Houston’s future.

   His latest producer album, HOUtopia, released in 2026, blends Houston Hip Hop, R&B, live instrumentation, and the city’s unmistakable musical identity. The project continues Bruce’s mission to preserve Houston’s legacy while creating new opportunities for the next generation.

   As Co-Owner of iMIX Recording Studios and a Recording Academy voting member, Bruce continues to bridge the worlds of studio production, live performance, artist development, and independent releases.
